Most operational issues begin at the filter plate at the bottom. You want a robust, uniform filter medium with no bypass paths. Vessel seals, particularly the shaft seal, must hold vacuum tightly during extended drying cycles. If the seal leaks during vacuum drying, the batch is a failure.

4. Compliance Certifications

It's a starting point, not an afterthought, for pharmaceutical buyers. Your ANFD supplier should have certifications like ASME, CE, PED, ATEX and FDA/GMP compliance documentation. CIP ring placement, spray coverage data, and rinse volume calculations need to be documented to demonstrate that cleaning procedures remove residual product to validated limits.
