Principle

UV/O3 continuous flow pipe wastewater degradation system mainly serves the treatment process of high COD and difficult-to-degrade organic wastewater. The system activates permonosulfate (PMS) through coupling of ultraviolet light/ozone (O3) to generate active species such as hydroxyl radicals, sulfate radicals, superoxide radicals and singlet oxygen with high oxidation potential, attack the molecular structure of organic matter and ultimately degrade the organic matter until it is completely mineralized into CO2 and H2O, thereby degrading organic pollutants in wastewater.

Workflow


The UV/O3 continuous flow pipe wastewater degradation system consists of a water inlet unit, an ozone generation and detection unit, a dosing unit, a high-efficiency ejection mixing mass transfer unit, a UV catalytic reaction unit and a fully automatic control unit.

The wastewater passes through the inlet pump and filter into the continuous flow pipe wastewater degradation system, and contacts with O3 from the ozone generation unit and permonosulfate from the dosing unit. After passing through the ejection mixing mass transfer unit, the fully mixed wastewater reacts continuously in the ultraviolet catalytic reaction unit, then such organic wastewater will be degraded and discharged. Additionally, before discharged, it passes through the monitoring system of ozone concentration to test whether it is qualified enough.

Features

4. The process runs in the fully enclosed condition, with no leakage or pollution, and it is continuous automated wastewater treatment with easy, safe and efficient operation.

Industrial Application

The wastewater of Wuxi Green Point Technology Co., Ltd. contains high concentration of fluorescent agent and COD, with poor biochemical performance. The company planned to adopt three-effect evaporation and concentration treatment, incinerating concentrated liquid, and biochemically degrading evaporated low COD wastewater. Such treatment costs up to CNY 300/t.

After being treated by the UV/O3 continuous flow pipe wastewater degradation system, the wastewater can be degraded to a biodegradable level with only 3kWh of energy consumption.

Case 2:

COD of the wastewater of Wuxi Shitangwan Industrial Park is higher than 500, which does not compliance with the national standard, so it cannot be directly discharged into the municipal pipeline. A low-cost one-step treatment is required to fix the problem.

After being treated by the UV/O3 continuous flow pipe wastewater degradation system for 0.5 hours with an energy consumption of 3 kWh/t, its COD becomes low than 500, and it can be directly discharged into the municipal pipeline.

Case 3:

The wastewater of Liaoning Xinyu is with high chromaticity and turbidity, high organic matter concentration, and extremely high Cl ion concentration (15-20g/L), so it cannot be directly biodegraded, as incineration with high salinity is prone to corrosion and damage to the furnace, making it difficult to treat. After being treated by the UV/O3 continuous flow pipe wastewater degradation system, the degradation rate reaches about 30%~40%.
